Nanushka

Someone recently asked me why I started blogging. Well… simple: to introduce you to brands like Hungarian fashion label Nanushka! Love at first sight. I discovered this boutique brand about 3 seasons ago, kept my eye on it and watched it grow.

I don’t believe in coincidence, so when I got the chance to meet Sandra Sandor, the designer and founder of the label a few weeks back, I knew Nanushka had to become a part of my wardrobe. She completely swept me of my feet.

Apart from being a very beautiful woman recently gracing the cover of Forbes, Sandra has the perfect contemporary attitude for a fashion designer. Her timeless collections are always based on a cultural story that inspires her and consist of flawlessly cut passe-partouts, topped with a theme print perfectly proportioned over the collection. Her color scheme is soft and female, her fabrics luxurious, but practical. Sandra wants you to see Nanushka as your best friend to reach out to in every kind of situation: a stylish day on the job, city hopping, having dinner or going out for drinks… you name it.

To me, Nanushka is the new generation of Céline, Stella or Chloé. She has the craftsmanship of an established fashion designer and runs her label out of love for women, making them feel confident and inspiring them to be who they want to be. No trend slaves, but women with personality. And she runs her business from Budapest, the place she loves to call home. Modest, but surprising, just like tiny Belgium. I can’t help but feel connected.
